Editorial Policy

Scope and Independence

GWYF Guide Wiki publishes independent informational content about Gamble With Your Friends. We are not the game's developer, publisher, or an official Steam resource. Commercial relationships, advertisements, or external links do not determine our factual conclusions.

Source Priority

We use the strongest available evidence for each claim, generally in this order:

1. Official store pages, developer announcements, public patch notes, and official achievement data.
2. Direct, reproducible in-game observations that identify the relevant version or context.
3. Established third-party reporting and guides with attributable evidence.
4. Community observations, used only when clearly labeled and when official detail is unavailable.

A community route is not an official condition. If a source does not disclose a detail, we say so instead of filling the gap with an unsupported answer.

Fact, Interpretation, and Advice

Pages distinguish among:

• Official fact: directly supported by a first-party source.
• Observed behavior: reproducible in-game behavior that may change between versions.
• Community route: a player-reported method or interpretation that is not an official condition.
• Editorial recommendation: practical advice based on the cited mechanics and clearly presented as guidance.

We avoid guarantees about random outcomes, fixed odds, hidden systems, future updates, or player-count values that are not supported by the source available at publication time.

Page Ownership and Duplication

Each important search intent has one primary page. Related pages should summarize and link to that owner instead of repeating a second full answer. This keeps corrections consistent and reduces contradictory guidance.

Updates and Version-Sensitive Content

Every guide carries a reviewed or modified date. Time-sensitive pages are written as source-reviewed snapshots, not permanent guarantees. When a mechanic changes, we update the page, narrow the claim, or mark the information as needing re-verification.

Dynamic features, such as current Steam player count, must show a fresh, stale, or unavailable state. They must not substitute a hard-coded number when the source cannot be reached.

Corrections

We correct material errors when reliable evidence supports a change. A correction may update wording, evidence labels, links, dates, or the page's index status. We do not silently turn community claims into official facts.

To report an issue, submit a tracked support ticket through our Contact page. Include the page URL, the disputed statement, and a source or reproducible observation when possible.

Automation and Editorial Responsibility

Software tools may assist with source organization, consistency checks, testing, and drafting. Tool output is not treated as evidence by itself. Published claims remain subject to the source standards above, and generated suggestions must be checked before they are accepted.

Advertising and Commercial Separation

Advertising, when enabled, is separated from editorial content and does not purchase favorable coverage. Advertisers and ad platforms do not approve guide conclusions. Pages without sufficient publisher content, private account screens, and pages held from indexing are excluded from ad serving by site controls.

Rights, Safety, and Removal Requests

We do not publish exploit instructions, save manipulation, or deceptive methods presented as normal play. Rights holders or readers may use the Contact page to report attribution, copyright, privacy, or safety concerns.
